The book of Ezra 3, chapters 15-16

These two chapters describe the reasons why the world will be punished and the fate of the righteous and the wicked: “Beware, says the Lord, I am bringing evils upon the world, the sword and famine, death and destruction, because iniquity of people has spread throughout every land, and their harmful doings have reached their limit” (3Ezr.15:5-6).
3Ezr.15:28-45 describes the events in the Middle East: “Here is a terrifying sight, appearing from the east” (3Ezr.15:28).
The “emanations of the dragons of Arabia” in 3Ezr.15:29 refer to Saudi Arabia — the main sponsor of terrorist organizations in the Middle East: “The emanations of the dragons of Arabia shall come out with many chariots and shall spread over the earth as fast as the wind, so that all who hear them will fear and tremble.”
3Ezr.15:30 describes the beginning of the Russian campaign in Syria: “Also the Carmonians, raging in wrath, shall go forth like wild boars from the forest, and with great power they shall come and engage them in battle, and shall devastate a portion of the land of the Assyrians.”
3Ezr.15:31-33 describes the incident with the Russian plane that was shot down, which resulted in a breakdown of Russian-Turkish relations and Russia lost its chance to get out of the Syrian conflict without losing its face: “Then the dragons, remembering their origin, shall overhelm, and in great power they turn to pursue them. They shall be disorganized and silenced by their power and shall turn and flee. And from the land of the Assyrians an enemy in ambush shall attack them and destroy one of them; and fear and trembling shall come upon their army, and indecision upon their kings.”
3Ezr.15:34-38 describes the further development of the conflict. 3Ezr.15:38 says about the main participants of this conflict: Russia, Saudi Arabia, and the Western countries to a lesser degree: “After that, heavy storms shall be stirred up from the south, and from the north, and another part from the west.”
3Ezr.15:39 describes the fall of Russia, very symbolically referred to as the “deterrence”, probably after China joins the conflict on the USA’s side: “and the strong winds shall raise from the east and reveal him and the cloud that I raised in wrath; and the star intended to deter as the east and west winds blow will be damaged.”
3Ezr.15:40-41 describes a nuclear war: “Great and mighty clouds, full of wrath and the star, shall rise to deter all the earth and its inhabitants, and shall pour out upon every high and lofty place a terrible star, fire and hail and flying swords and floods of water, so that all the fields and all the streams shall be filled with the abundance of those waters.” Here, the “high and lofty place” is the cities of the Contemporary Empire from Dan.2 – the larger they are, the more exalted they are, so the chances are higher that they will become targets for missile strikes.

The characteristics given to the pre-war world in 3Ezr.16:22 are extremely important as well: “Indeed, provisions will be so cheap upon earth that people will imagine that peace is assured for them, and then calamities shall spring up on the earth — the sword, famine, and great confusion.” Indeed, in the late 1990s the price of consumer goods in US dollars and gold was extremely low, but in the 21st century it has significantly grown. This is because the world has entered a global crisis of commodity overproduction caused by cyclical debt overproduction. In 1999-2011 – during the first phase of this crisis – inflation was moderate, while the second phase, which began in 2016, will bring more significant rise in consumer prices. The crisis will peak in 2024-2026. By that time, the price of consumer goods to income ratio will soar manifold and will be fueled by overall warfare.
